Tiny Track
A point-of-sale and inventory app that lets a small retail shop take orders, print receipts, and track stock from a phone.

The problem
A small retail shop needed one tool for selling, stock, and staff. Orders, inventory counts, and sales totals lived in separate places, so stock went out of date, low items weren't noticed until they ran out, and the owner couldn't easily see what sold or who sold it. Off-the-shelf POS systems cost too much for a shop that size and didn't cover tasks like staff checklists.
Our approach
We built a cross-platform Flutter app on Firebase.
Orders and receipts: staff build a cart, choose a payment method (Cash, GCash, Maya, bank transfer, or card), and print a receipt on a Bluetooth thermal printer. Discounted items show the savings on the receipt.
Inventory: stored in SQLite on the device and reduced automatically when an order is placed. Each item has its own low-stock alert level. Admins can back up the database to Firebase Storage and restore it.
Reports: revenue, top items, and top staff for any date range, exported to Excel or PDF.
Tasks: admins assign one-off or repeating tasks. Staff send a photo or voice note as proof, and the admin approves it.
Access control: new accounts wait for approval, and each role sees only its own tabs. Firestore and Storage security rules are tested against the Firebase emulators.
Delivery: GitHub Actions builds the Android and iOS releases. We can turn on a forced update or a maintenance screen remotely.
Result
The app replaced the shop's scattered records with one app on staff phones. Orders, receipts, stock levels, and reports now come from the same data, and inventory updates the moment a sale is placed. The owner gets sales reports on demand and can assign staff tasks and check them off with proof. We kept shipping updates after launch: task tracking, voice notes, role-based tabs, and stronger security rules.
